Al Arabiya TV, 18 Nov 2012 – In Iran, officials arrested 29 activists in the city of Ahvaz for participating in the funeral ceremony of an Ahvaz poet last week, Al Arabiya reported.
Iranian sources told Al Arabiya most of the arrests took place in the Hai Kut Abdullah region in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province. The residents of this province have long demanded their ethnic and social rights.
