The families of prisoners transferred to Gohar Dasht Prison, west of Tehran, for execution gathered
outside this prison on Monday morning, demanding this inhumane sentencing to be halted.
Reports from inside Iran indicate over 20 prisoners were transferred to Gohar Dasht Prison for executions on Saturday and Sunday. These inmates were transferred to solitary confinement in Ward 5 of this prison. According to the Ardebil Province judiciary chief, 40 other prisoners have been sentenced to death in this province alone.
